Overview

Ms Phumzile H. Maseko is a senior finance and treasury leader with more than three decades of experience across government, banking, and financial markets. Her career spans sovereign debt management, capital markets, treasury risk, and executive leadership within complex, regulated environments.

She previously served as FirstRand Africa Treasurer and Group Treasury Executive, where she provided strategic oversight across multiple African markets, supporting liquidity management, regulatory compliance, capital planning, and group treasury governance. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at the National Treasury of South Africa, where she played a key role in domestic debt management, funding strategies, and capital market development.

Ms Maseko brings strong governance insight through her current Non-Executive Director appointments and is recognised for her disciplined approach to risk, ethics, and long-term financial sustainability.
