As part of our commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship, one of our most successful investments to date has been the integration of renewable energy solutions within the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA).

Recognising the urgent need to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency, Intersite has implemented national renewable energy projects aimed at transforming PRASA’s operations. This initiative includes the installation of solar power systems at key stations and facilities, reducing reliance on the national grid while ensuring continuity of operations during black-outs and more sustainable, cost-effective energy use.

The project not only supports South Africa’s broader green energy goals but also demonstrates the potential of public infrastructure to lead in climate-conscious development. By harnessing solar energy, Intersite is setting a benchmark for other state-owned enterprises and contributing to a cleaner, more resilient future.

Join Intersite in shaping inclusive, investment-ready precincts through strategic private sector partnerships that deliver lasting economic and social impact.
